OUR MOTHER

OUR MOTHER
On Saturday.
Our humble mother went to market,
But it was my birthday.
She Care only for her pockets.

Mama wants my loyalty,
But I'm starving!
and mother keeps blaming rats for her vanity,
Maybe she forgot She's always traveling.
While she was away,
The rats found their way into our account.
Our security broke like a pot of clay.
Now, my sisters can't get their wants.

Just yesterday.
My mother called a family meeting.
She said October 1 is her birthday.
I laugh her to the falling.
Mama can't get food for the children.
She only tell stories of Mama-Chinedu's corruption,
Tomorrow she would fly to Israel.
Leaving us with a dying Nation.
