Sugar

Image
(1) I don't know if you recollect, How swift our lips first crashed. It was accident I'm forever grateful for Cos it gave rise to my heartfelt emotions That was directed towards you. You were tad bit jumpy, Perhaps, by the fact that we were alone. You picked up that bowl of sugar, Then in a flash sec, it slipped. We weren't fast enough so, It hit the floor, leaving a splatter to be cleared. I wouldn't let you clear up on your own, So down I went by you to pick the broken pieces. There was this piece we both reached for, I picked it and watched you take your hair behind your ear. I could swear you were the most beautiful girl alive. I moved closer and your lips crashed against mine in a swift, Then you pulled of, apologising the next second. You walked away leaving the words "it was an accident" in the air. Since you say it's an accident, I'm happy I had it with you. I never did forget the taste of those lips. They tasted like Sug...

Nemesis

Image
NEMESIS Like an headless fowl, nemesis runs around. Oh! My conscience judges, and memories runs like flood. Tick Tick the clock sounds, as the world compass me about. I am lost without love, even salt can't sweeten the bitterly spoilt. What you sow is what you reap, now I know Karma is real. I need to turn a new leaf, to make the world believe. What Adam did with Eve, nemesis spotted their deeds. Nemesis would surely come, Even you go abroad. Just focus on your gut, and learn to live without trust.         VICKMACK

The culture of the blacks

The culture of the blacks  Oh ye man with chest  And breast of African, Where is my culture? Where is our culture? Who took our culture On the voyages of no  Return?  Who are those that  Choose my culture to  Be reformed ? Oh ye native of African, I smell sound from the  Other side as my music, Where is apala ? Where is Fuji? Where is sewele ?  Oh ye native of African Where is father and  Mother tongues?  I do not remember when  Last I greet with my tougues .  Oh ye African What happened to the days when we dance naked in the rain? The days where we long for the purity of our maidens? The days Our ancestors are held in high esteem? Where are our overfed town criers? Oh ye Africa How I miss my moonlight stories, Now we are forced ton tie a rope around our necks  Marry one in the midst of plenty, Avoid our beloved victuals. This is cruelty We have been stripped off our garments. Oh y...

WHO KNOWS HOW I FELT

Image
WHO KNOWS HOW I FELT Who knows how I felt When I saw her walking Up to me with smile on face And the eighteen multiply by eight in eight places figure Eight on her seductive waist Open my gate. Who knows how I felt When she stood before me, My zebra was looking dovely into her panda And my ears listen To the scent coming From her body. Who knows how I felt When I couldn't control My emotions and I asked For a selfie to keep those memories. Who knows how I felt When I used my tongue to Pass a decent message to the outermost part of her ear repeatedly. Who knows how I felt When I expected her Hands to pay my cheek a thunder visit But she told me to continue Passing my decent message to her ears. Who knows how I felt when I checked my gallery And I found this amazing pictures of a lady and I inked on it without considering the likely consequences. Poet: Afolabi

Niwoyi Ano I searched the whole world looking For you but before I could finish I stopped cos my legs refused to carry my head no more. Niwoyi Ano Tears were running in my veins And blood was dropping from my eyes Because. I saw her leftover Swimming in the tears of her mother. Niwoyi Ano Niwoyi Ano means this time of yesterday… Episode 1. Poet: Afolabi

REALITY

Image
REALITY I walked upto a policeman, “Sir, is life a cinema? Why then do you watch criminals Leave and live cut free? Sir, honestly, I need a uniform, Please don’t be misinformed, It’s not like I want to create another you, But I really want to be the difference When you compare night to noon. I refuse sitting on the fence, Proclaiming righteous manifestoes Yet, operating evil objectives. Above all, I vow not to become mosquitoes Draining hustling motorist.” “We,” he said “may be clothed in black, Like darkness, but our ways are not dark, Son, don’t compare us to nights, We are here to defend your rights. Is not like delight In bribes and letting sinners go unpunished. Plus we have children we’ve furnished With the truth and righteously building them the way they should grow, Son, I hope you know; We pray to God, hear clergies and read the Holy Book And we know He has a very big eye, He beholds all like it’s the palm of His hands. ...

CALLOUS DEATH

Image
CALLOUS DEATH Oh death! Oh death! Why are you callous? Why are you heartless? Why are you fearless? Why are you unconquered? Why are you so desperate? You took our loved ones away from us Without looking back and showing mercy You took us away from our belongings Forgetting that we are the possessors You took away our happiness And replace it with sadness All these are done due to your callousness. You caused the downfall of giants Because of your able fearlessness You cannot be conquered Because of your invisibility You achieve your aims admirably Because of your strong desperateness. You cannot give and cannot create You do not honour and greet You neither smile nor laugh But you can take and receive And can combat and destroy You do this due to your callousness Your desire is our hatred Your achievement is our unfulfillment Your fearlessness is our timidity Your strength is our weakness Your happiness is our s...

IF

Image
IF If I build you a great tower With the might of my power Would make our love blossom Like an all season flower? If I take you to the beautiful Lake Atitlan For a shower, Does that guarantee that you’ll be here with me forever? If I have got the body build of Commando, And the scoring ratio of Ronaldo, And the shooting prowess of Rambo, Is that enough to convince you? If I have got the strength of a stallion, The valour of a warrior, And the pace of a cheetah, Does that certify that you’d lay in my bed? If I make your will mine, And make my good will thine, Would that command thy smile? If I build you a mansion, And build for you the greatest effigy, Will that make you end in my house as my wife? Copyright : E. ‘fisayo aka Ek_Tiger IF If I have one thing that counts It is nothing more than you. I am as prepared as a scout To give you everlasting love from night till noon, If the day would last 48hours It’s not enough for...
