CALLOUS DEATH

CALLOUS DEATH

Oh death! Oh death!
Why are you callous?
Why are you heartless?
Why are you fearless?
Why are you unconquered?
Why are you so desperate?

You took our loved ones away from us
Without looking back and showing mercy
You took us away from our belongings
Forgetting that we are the possessors
You took away our happiness
And replace it with sadness
All these are done due to your callousness.

You caused the downfall of giants
Because of your able fearlessness
You cannot be conquered
Because of your invisibility
You achieve your aims admirably
Because of your strong desperateness.

You cannot give and cannot create
You do not honour and greet
You neither smile nor laugh
But you can take and receive
And can combat and destroy
You do this due to your callousness

Your desire is our hatred
Your achievement is our unfulfillment
Your fearlessness is our timidity
Your strength is our weakness
Your happiness is our sadness
Your unfriendliness caused our vindictiveness

We desire to live longer, longer even for thousands of years
But you cut our dreams short by achieving your aims
Of what offence have we committed to deserve such reward?
Why are your aims always contradicting ours?
Why don't you let us be so that we can live eternally?
Why are you so cruel and callous?
