Supremacy of art/humanities

Title;supremacy of Art/humanities  Written by Obazie sunday Its quite absurd when I see or hear a science and art student arguing at which is most supreme  At first let me define both before bringing up facts Science ;A particular discipline or branch of learning, especially one dealing with measurable or systematic principles rather than intuition or natural ability   Humanity/Arts: Study of Mankind, human beings as a group    science students do claim the world is full of science and technology which I agree to some extent. In my little understanding,i would say technology began"10 million years ago when humans made their first tools from bones, antlers, stone and wood"which is no where close to the day "humanity/Arts came into existence,When  the Lord God began his rule of the universe billion and millions of years ago which symbolises the beginning of Arts/Humanity  Though science and technology, is good to some extent which I would get to explain.the failures of scienc...

I WOULD RATHER DIE

Image
I WOULD RATHER DIE. Sometimes life isn't that colours We could paint in the walls of our hearts. It's filled with contours, Last week I heard a boy walk straight into the great beyond. He was in pursuit of the pictures on he could see. I blamed him a bit; Just for making mama cry. I've been watching his dad from afar, He's just pretending to be a man too. I wail not because it's dropped on him, He's aged small, but he's dreams are older. I wished he wrote to me before crossing the borders. I would have wrote back, telling him the much reason I am younger. I think less of the things he ponders, It's like I'm not just troubled. I leave the papers clears, God said I shouldn't think with my head. He said I see them all fixed in my mind. Am not gonna paint picture, That gives me tension anytime I remember my age and think of the future, I'm just walking gently thru' the corners of life Running while time is tiptoeing, Even if God hesitate, He...

The Owu war 1829-1825 is a typical example. The Ijebu allied with Ife to destroy Owu whose residents fled to Egba territory, and then the Ijebu in alliance with Ife and Oyo destroyed several Egba towns. It was the refugees from this town that founded Ibadan in 1829 and Abeokuta in 1830; these two soon developed into powerhouse and soon joined the power struggle in the region. Some of the wars where caused by constitutional issues. The Ibadan-Ijaye wars 1860-1864 was a typical example, when the Alaafin A...
