THE WORLD IS SICK

THE WORLD IS SICK
The world is sick
We barely get what we seek,
Sometimes it’s like we don’t diverse it,
Our dance step is always off beats
And it’s like we're not learning,
If you have seen her results, it’s like she's not reading.
And she cries
“THIS IS A SICK WORLD!
What else? What’s left? What's the best?
Lord, sometimes we did our best and left the rest,
So who's not playing his part?
Because the candles and myself were never apart.”
And she eats all the books like church rats.
Yet the reward cuts her, making heart bleed
With her hope worn thin.
So she's giving in,
Frustrated, and tired of trying.
Now, its life goes on,
She cancelled her ambitions, believing she'll be whatever she turns.
She can’t get want she wants, so she takes whatever is given.

The world is sick,
Our problems is like a small river but they're too thick
For anyone to swim across,
The carpenters that made our cross
Did not weigh us before making it,
While some run with theirs, others can barely lift their feet.
