Life is unfair
A measure of unkindness to all complexions
Frustration skins out happiness
Off Brown skin and Light Skinned
Even caro white cannot cover the dark spots of Depression
Fake smiles smears over their facial expressions!

They're so good at hiding their pains
Their tweets don't show how much they're pained
Facebook pictures show no iota of depression
WhatsApp status? Well!
We could never tell
All we do is mind our business
Until headlines hit phone screens!

"Man dies after sniper snipes the life out of him"
Truth is! We watched the life slip out!
How could we lend a shoulder when it was busy holding hands;
Hands too busy holding phones!
Blinding us till he Fumed, Foamed and Died!

Then fingers come alive on the comments section
"RIP Dear Creature"
"It's a pity He couldn't STAY! "

How could we lend a shoulder?
If not help them STAY!

    Harsh reality. The writer paints the exact picture of how the world runs now. we're all so busy minding unproductive businesses while we're supposed to profit lives by lending hands. Sadly, the only time we care is when they're gone.

    What a wonderful write up, this is a good message for us. To be there for each other not until they are gone. There are thousands of people out there going throgh a colorful-paint of depression, sadness etc. To us everything is alright but behind there are a lot of pain behind their smiles. Apparently, its important to block the lacuna between us and our loved ones, so as to create the closeness by lending hands
